handling then supressing exceptions in Page_Error

Hi all,

I am trying to catch exceptions with Page_Error and place the exception message into the body of the page without redirecting to an error page.  I can get the exception with Server.GetLastError(), and I can put the messages into the page body, 

The problem is, when I use Server.ClearError() I get a "white screen of death" (ie the page reloads with empty content).  If I don't use ClearError then I get the application crash screen.  I don't want to be redirected, I just want to show the exception message. 

Is there a way to use Page_Error to catch and supress an exception without a redirect?
