Errors with CreateUserWizard/CreateWizardStep Controls

I have found a Tutorial from 4guysfromrolla.com outlining the details in accomplishing and insert with ExtraInfo in to a custom Profiles Table. Actually the Below code is functioning and inserting in to the custom profiles table. What is interesting is the error is thrown when I access a static page. (for example contactus.aspx.) The error is caused by Default.aspx but again, if I go through the registration process all tables are updated.
I have been looking for days trying to figure out the issue on this, any help would be appreciated.
