ListBox and List<>

asp.net 2.0

In my webproject I've got an ListBox which get it's data from a List<> of custom objects:
<asp:ListBox Width="300" Height="150" ID="lbCar" runat="server">
</asp:ListBox>

Okay the problem is that when I select a row in the ListBox I want a Label control on that webpage to display information related to that row:
Lets say for example the custom object is Car (contains car information). The ListBox displays car registration plate. When the user click on a row that label control displays other information related to that car..

So I'm wondering how to do this? I feel it's overkill to do anot ...
