I wrote an application for a client in Visual Web Developer and published the application to a folder on my hard drive. I then uploaded that folder via FTP client to my web hosts server. When I try to navigate to the URL where default.aspx is located I get an "Error 500 Access Denied" from IIS which incidentally is the exact same thing that happens if I try to view the page on my local development server which is running IIS. The error is slightly different but the end result is the same. I can not view my pages. If I can not view my pages all the effort I put in to making them is just a collosal waste of time. Why does the page display for me when I am in the Visual Web Developer environment and not when I'm outside of it?
