I am trying to develop a page which kind of provides and interface to the user to get access to thir party ActiveX component which allows them to do payment etc.
The third party component has been written in VB6. I am not sure if it is possible to use the Windows based API with a Web based system?
I have got the API for that third party tool. They have provided a batch file to register the DLL. If I register that and then try to createobject for that using
moIntegration = CreateObject(ClassPublicAPI.claIntegration")
it works fine but only if I run it through Microsoft Visula Studio (i.e. by clicking on the "Start Debugging" icon using ASP.Net Development server). But if I try to run it through localhost server it gives me an error at the above line that "Cannot create
ActiveX component".
