Hey all.
I've currently got - not much - set up and am trying to create custom forms authentication.
This is what I have so far:
-An Access Database, the connection string is saved in the Web.Config file, so I can change it when I eventually go to publish it.
-A page that allows a user to insert a record into the Database, supplying username and password, and it encrypts the password using a salted MD5 method.
-A page that allows a user to verify the username and correct password.
All three of these items work, however I have no idea how to set up authentication that would create session/persistent cookies for logging in. :(

I had done this previously using the included ASP.NET membership/roles providers, but I want to include the usernames and passwords within my own database, and have full control over the entire scheme of things. I was looking at the .SetAuthCookie method, but I'm not sure how to get that to work? :|

Any enlightment would be great.

Thank ...
