We have a need to generate a snapshot/jpg of a video when the user clicks the button. Currently we are using ffmpeg to handle and calling it from the webpage.. this works, but takes time, since it needs the video as source then process it then place the file on the server.. this method works if there is no other option. So since processing time depends on server and video being played, we need to provide some sort of indication that its working..
So looking around seems UpdateProgress may work for what we need.. we need to do a few things.. when the user clicks on the "OK" button a popup window opens and shows them a message that the file is being generated.. once its complete and file is available, the are presented with either a link to download or preferably have the save as dialog window open so they can save the generated file to their machine and never store it on the server..
So looking for possible solutions to either incorporate a updateprogress on the pop ...
