i'm running a sharepoint server 2007 on a sql server 2005 express.
The last days we're hitting the 4gb databasesize-limit for our wss_content-database.
So i downloaded the sql server 2008 express r2 and did an inplace-upgrade.
The steps i made:
1. Start SQLEXPRWT_x64_ENU.exe (run as administrator)
2. In the SQL Server Installation Center i selected the Option Installation > Upgrade from SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008
3. After the Upgrade was sucessful i restarted the server (win server 2008 std)
The upgrade was sucessful but i'm still facing the error "CREATE DATABASE or ALTER DATABASE failed because the resulting cumulative database size would exceed your licensed limit of 4096 MB per database.", when i try to upload documents
into our sharepoint.
When i connect to my instance it says SERVER\OFFICESERVERS (SQL Server 9.0.4060 ...). So it seems ...
