I hope that someone here can help me with a problem that I’ve had for about 6 months now.
I have been unable to update SQL Server 2005 SP4 after numerous attempts using both Windows update procedure, and also the full executable file for the SP4 update.
The Windows update in question is Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4 (KB2463332).
Sometimes it says it has updated successfully, but when I run Windows Update again, it always comes back as needing to be installed, even after I’ve deleted the C:\Windows\Software Distribution\Downloads and also DataStore folders.
I am not proficient at all in SQL, so it’s possible that I am making a basic mistake in my troubleshooting.
I am not proud. Any and all help is welcome.
