I need some help with the Roles and Membership and the menu control with the Web.sitemap and securityTrimmingEnabled. I have the web.config file setup correctly and different folders setup for different roles and using the Web.sitemap with the menu control. With the securityTrimmingEnabled="true" the menu items that require a user with the proper role does not display but when a proper user name and password is entered the user logs in ok but the menu never displays the proper role menu items. This works perfectly on my local machine testing but not live on the remote server. If I take securityTrimmingEnabled out of the web.config file the menu items display all the time. I have the roles and membership in my SQL database on an SQL server that is acessed the same way locally and live which is working correctly. I am baffled by the menu items tied to roles works testing locally but not on the live server.
