Is there any kind of built-in delete verification for a listview before actually deleting a row

Is there any kind of built-in double check on a delete for a listview.  For example, when a user clicks delete in a listivew, is there any kind of built-in pop-up for verification before the delete takes place. I can do it with codebehind where I use OnItemDeleting and OnItemDeleted, to use custom delete routines. But I would like to delete without having to do so? How do I do that?   Thanks ...
