I am making some improvements to an existing ASP.NET application by adding some styling and ajax. Currently the app only uses full page post backs.
The changes are working fine so far and the basics are that I wrap areas of my pages with UpdatePanels, set the appropriate triggers, etc.
I am encountering the following scenario:
page1.aspx displays a searchable list of "things". Page1 has a script manager and updatepanels to support ajax calls to things like searching for things and updating a datalist. All working fine.
page2.aspx is the details page of some selected "thing" from page1.aspx. Page2.aspx also received a script manager and corresponding update panels, dependecies of triggering events, etc. All working fine.
Then, I moved on to display page2.aspx from page1.aspx also asynchronously in a jquery dialog widget. Got that done.
The problem is that now the ajax calls from page2.aspx which is now in a jquery dialog ...
