Reading Text file

hello,
I m reading text file line by line and after that I want to upload file.
While reading the file, I hardcoded the path which is my desktop.
System.IO.StreamReader file =
               new System.IO.StreamReader("C:\\Documents and Settings\\Desktop\\test1.txt");
But I dont want to give that path, bcoz if other users want to upload file from their computer, it will give exception.
so how to give that path.
