Dropdown error

Hi,

I have two drop down and I am filling he data forit from database. My problem is in the query.

 

Sql1 = "select name from List where City ='" & RTrim(dropdown2.SelectedItem.Text) & "'"

MsgBox( Sql1)

 

Message is displayed as:

select name from List where City = 'AAA

' 

i.e. the ending quote is displayed in the next line. Because of that the query wont display the result.

How to solve this?
