Hi,
From a few tutorials regarding Roles, it seems as if Roles are designed to be used by the system administrator, rather than the user's themselves. What I'd like to do is have users creating their own groups. They can then invite friends into their groups and/or they can join other groups. However, those who have created a group can see an extra menu on 'groups page' which allows them to edit the group. Those who are simply members see the same page, but without the option. Should I be using Roles for this type of scenario (Creator, Member ) and then doing an 'If(InRole)' check everytime to see whether the page should display the "edit group" options? The only problem I see is that a user may be a creator of one group, but a member of another. Can ASP.NET roles handle multiple roles based on other factors, or is it limited to one role only?
Thanks
