In an attempt to place code behind files for all web pages
of a website in a separate project within the same solution, I encountered
errors. No controls or anything else
that is specified in the visible element files are recognized in the code
behind files. As previously recommended,
I removed the “CodeFile=” reference from the top @Page line and only referred
to the code behind file in the “Inherits=” reference
along with the class library project (named CodeBehindFiles) as:
“CodeBehindFiles.Default.cs”. Also as
recommended, I placed my script code within the following format of the
Default.cs file:

{ public class Default:
System.Web.UI.Page
{
// Script
}
}
