I'm trying to create a custom web controls that inherits from System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button. I want to be able to customize its look, whilst maininting its behaviour. So when you click it, it would still call the OnClick from its base class. But instead of looking like a normal button, I want to be able to use a nice rounded button. I have the html markup for this already done, which is copied from an old classic asp site.
I could just use a predifined ImageButton, but I would like to have the text in the middle to be dynamic. So the button could either say "update", "upload", "cancel".
So I'm trying to create a custom control that inherits from button, but how do I go about redering a totally custom button, that still calls the base class OnClick?
Is this possible?
Could anyone please suggest any other way of doing this if you know?
