ok, i have a gridview and i've created an item template field with a textbox and a button. the gridview is showing a list of products and the textbox is for quantity and the button is to add the product to the basket. I'm explaining this as i am NOT using the edit item template because i am not editing the data, i am simply using the gridview to display the data (product id, price etc) How do i put a reqfield validator on every text box without getting my required error message against every product textbox? everything i've looked at suggests using the editItemTemplate but as i'm not editing the data i'm unsure what to do
