HOw do I Get the longest value in an array

Hello,

How do i get the longest value in an array ?

I have a array, and I want to get the longest value. Am using

 string[] each = salute.Split('/');
string longest ;int longest2;
longest = each.Max();longest2 = longest.lenght; But it doesnt get the longest value. Any ideas ?thanks
