Gmail Sent functionality

Hi friends,
 
How do I implement the "Sent Message" in Gmail
If I a compose a message and send it - Gmail displayes a sent message successful message
Next if the click on the inbox or the sent links it does not appear.The message appears only when v clcik the "Sent" message
I could do Session["message"] = "success"
and then use 
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
        {
if (Session["Success"] != null)
                    {
                        LMessage.Text = "Successfully Sent";
                    }
}
