I currently have my laptop setup with Sql Server 2008 (No instance of a database, but I do have the client,BIDS,IS,SSMS...) So I can get to our production server running SQL Server 2008; My question is that when I'm installing SQLServer 2008 R2 Developer on my laptop, I get the following warning:
"SharedComponentsUpgradeRule" (There are one or more shared components of SQL Server 2008 installed on the machine. Be aware that installing SQL Server 2008 R2 shared components will automatically upgrade the existing shared components.)
Should I un-select all of the "Shared Features" under the Feature Selection window?
OR
Should I leave them selected? And what affect will this have on accessing SSIS packages, Databases... from my SQL Server 2008 instance (which is on our production server)?
Thank you in advance....
