Hello ,
I dont install sql server often its the network guys that do it. But i have a issue today.
They installed SSMS from shared network drive which 2008 express with sp1 .
And the only options it shows is management studio and configuration tools. So they installed these shared tools.
But i need to install BIDS. When i use ssms i see compact edition.
Should i uninstall the sql server 2008 Express sp1 package first to get BIDS. They found standard edition folder, which has BIDS in it.
