About PowerShell script to check the size of that variable (should be content of a file)

Hey All,
I have a PowerShell script and the following variable
the output of $JobLog should be Html format, and would like to check if this variable size biger than 1Mb or not.
 
If it is over 1MB then ignore , or put that value to else  
 $JobLog = $_ | Get-BEJobLog -OutputStyle Html
 
any idea?
