Need help with time picker

I have a basicdatepicker.net control and I'm using it's timepicker. I'm trying to set the timepicker to a time from my dataset row.item. Here is what I get.
                Me.tpStartT.SelectedTime = Row.Item("taskstarttime").ToString("{0:t}")
value of type char cannot be converted to type system.timespan
 
Any suggestions?
