Hi.

My website has a couple of aspects where I need to use a "global" variable. Normally I'd use a session variable but in this particular insance I need something available throughout the application. So I thought I'd use the HttpContext.Current.Application("variable") = value. Trouble is that I need a little better uderstanding of this.

I need to have a global variable of some sort that can be used where multiple users won't overwright the value that the previous user has populated.

So, does the HttpContext.Current.Application("variable") = value populate the variable and assign that value based on the session ID of the user that created it?

If not, is there a different solution that I can use that will allow me that latitude?

thanks.
