I have an application that does dome video processing and it is a Windows EXE. I need to run it on a Windows application server but my web servers, database servers and file servers are all Linux. I want users to upload the video file on the Linux web server, store it in the file server and make an entry into the MySQL database. Then I want to call to the Applications server to have my application process the video file and store the processed file back on the file server.
What is the easiest way to do this? Can I just create an ASP page on the windows server that I call from Linux that goes out and does the work, including calling the EXE application, then call back to a page on the linux server telling it that it is done?
