Hi
I am new to ASP.net and need some help.
I am trying to implement an Email Alert service on my ASP.net website - i.e. a user would automatically get an email alert when a new news article is posted to a Category they have subscribed to.
Or have a list of news articles to a subscribed Category emailed either daily, weekly, or monthly.
Could any one tell me if I would require Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) for such a function?
How could such an Email Alert be implemented using ASP.net?
Would these functions be supported by Godaddy's Economy Windows hosting service - https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosting/shared.asp?ci=9009
Thanks
