Hello all,
New to the forums here and I have a fairly simple question regarding asp.net security providers.
I am in the process of laying some of the foundation for a rather large application with several distinct modules. The current version was built using several NON MS technologies. However we will be migrating this application to a purely .Net set of technologies including WCF & Silverlight. I would like to use ASP.Net's built in security functionality, however the default membership / role / profile providers will likely not work as we have extensive information about each user.
Thus, we will likely build custom providers for each component. I have not been keeping up with the changes that are coming with ASP.Net 4.0 but I am wondering if anyone can tell me if anything is changing with membership / role / profile providers or will these stay the same as what shipped with 2.0?
