I wrote a bit of code to upload a file to the server. Then store its path and file name in a database.
I then have a datagrid that has a HyperLink control in every row returned. The NavigateURL property is set to the path + file name of a file to download.
This works well and all path issues have been fixed. My problem is this; when I test locally and upload a .docx file, I click on the link and it opens perfectly. When I uploaded this to our test server it failed saying 'The page cannot be found'. The path is not the issue here...I have checked the path and it is spot on. I uploaded the same file converted to a pdf with the exact same filename and they work.
I noticed that filetypes like .docx and .xlsx were on my local server as I have office 2007 but the server did not. Is this is whats causing my problem.
