I am ready to tear my hair out. I have an asp.net page with a detailsview. My users want a popup confirmation box to say "item inserted" and I need it to be triggered by the "oniteminserted" event. I also have a ScriptManager object on the page with an update panel, and that is interfering with the code that launches the popup message. If I have no ScriptManager and Update Panel, it works; it doesn't work with the Script Manager and Update Panel, which needs to be there.
