Hi,
I've got a Silverlight app that is authenticating itself via a WCF authentication service exposed via ASP.net.  I'm having an issue with the ASPXAUTH cookie expiring in Internet Explorer but working in Firefox.  I investigated the issue and found that the date on the server was set to some time in 2005 - when I reset the date to today's date, the authentication cookie did not get expired by IE and everything worked again.

However, as far as I know the server sends back its current date with the authentication service response and the web browser is supposed to use that date when determining the expiry time of cookies - that is what Firefox seems to be doing but not what IE is doing.  I investigated the response with Firebug / Fiddler and found that the Date header was set to July 2005, and the cookie expiry date was set to 30 minutes after the time specified in the Date header -- this makes sense and is what I would ...
