I am having some troubles figuring out how to configure the settings for the SimpleMembershipProvider in a new ASP.NET MVC 4 Internet Application, and can't seem to find any *GOOD* documentation on how to do so.
I spent the last few days reading everything i could possibly find regarding the new SimpleMembershipProvider with MVC 4...from what i have read and tested it appears that everything just seems to work out of the box without any need to add additional configuration to the Web.config file (ex, i don't even need to have a <membership> config section in web.config for everything to work).
However, this simplicity out of the box setup had led me to some confusion on how to properly configure certain aspects of the SimpleMembershipProvider. Or perhaps i just don't understand how it all works yet. In any case, here are my questions:
1) I am trying to set the values of things like EnablePasswordReset, MinRequiredPasswordLeng ...
