Hi there
I'm attempting to allow a user to save a form (using a HTML Editor) to the DB that will be re-created on on a site - the form will have basic HTML controls like Checkbox, Textbox and an input button - using some javascript I can fire another hidden asp:Button control to email the results... All is working well, except, of course the values of the controls are returned to their original state during postback, and before the email event is fired! (The idea is to grab all the HTML in the div and email it as a HTML email)
Maintaining values during postback is no problem if the controls are created dynamically and can then be re-created as Page Init - but as I have no idea how many or what controls the user is going to save, all I can do is create a dynamic div, add the HTML brought from the DB to the innerHTML event and add the div as a control to panel.
Soooo the question is - how can I save and email the HTML before the postback ...
