I have gone through the TnC of SQL Server Express Edition R2 2008 and well I am confused as I really don't understand if there are any hidden meanings or not. So here is my scenario -
I have a project which needs to be built in ASP.NET 4.0 and Sql Server 2008 R2. I want to know that can I build the project in Visual Studio Express Edition 2010 and Sql Server 2008 R2 and deploy the created project into a dedicated server which I bought.
I hope I will not be breaking any Microsoft Terms & conditions. If I ask my hosting provider for Sql Server Standard Edition, it will cost me $250 extra per month. So can I ask them to install Sql Server 2008 R2 Express Edition (as it is free) into the
hosting server so that I can avoid the extra $250? Will I be breaking laws?
