Single sign on among asp.net 3.5 app and classic asp app

 I have a website built in classic asp and all the new work is being done in asp.net 3.5, LINQ etc. How can I set up single sign on between these two site?
classic asp site will be running on xyz.com
asp.net site will be running on newsite.xyz.com
