I am trying to publish a .NET Web Application using MYSQL as the database and i use MYSQL .NET conector(MYSQL 6.0.7.0) to connect the web app and database. When i run the application i am getting a System.Security.SecurityException. When i contact the hostgator technical support they are saying that their server doesnt support application with full trust and asking me to publish the application using Medium Trust.
I am using a visual studio 2008 to develop the web app and mysql as the database. I am unable to modify the trust level in the application web.config file since the service providers has locked the trust level in the server web.config file in the CONFIG section. I also tried using system.security and [assembly: AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers()] in the assemblyinfo.cs file but with no luck.
Could anybody please tell me how do i publish the .net web application using MYSQL as the database with Medium Trust level?
