What are these Dotted Folders in .Net Solution

Hi ALL,

  i downloaded a sample project from the internet it has some folder with boundary doted manner and when i open those folder i found

   LocalTestRun.testrunconfig,

   Readme.txt , project.vsmdi files inside doted folder.

folder shown in following picture.

please expain the role of these folders

 what is use  these doted folder and why we use it.
