Hi there, im new to the forums and fairly new to asp.net and web development in general. Im busy making a personal website, nothing too fancy. But what I wanted to do was have the banner/login controls at the top, and the menu which consists of image buttons on left, and in the centre I wanted to have all the content of my site.
The thing I need to know, is how do i change the content without reloading the menu and the banner etc each time? ie: when a user clicks a menu button, only the content changes (maybe this can be on a panel?), and the website along with the menu and banner is not reloaded each time. This would make it easy for me to add menu items without adding the code to each page. I have tried googling, but unfortunately can't even think what keywords to use. I am using visual web developer 2008 express edition to create my asp.net website with vb.net codebehind. Any help or a point in the right direction would be great. iFrames maybe? I don't ...
