Making a collection of controls

I'm doing my first asp.net site. Anyway, I'm very new to web development period. I am doing some server side checking of some multiple choice questions. I'm using a radio button list with four list items for each question.
Anyway, I want to check which index they selected and flag with a cross beside the wrong answer they selected if they got it wrong, and flag a green tick beside the correct answer as well when they get it wrong and when they get it right. So this requires the logic to not only flag the correct answer, but it also is required to actually find out what they selected and make the corresponding cross visible if they didn't select the correct answer.
So I was thinking about how I can do this and I could have a whole heap of if statements checking the checking Q1RadioButtonList.selectedIndex, like this
