i have a function in my code behind 'string getdata()' that brings some data from the database and is display it on the page....
this function is called by a jquery function repeatedly as long as there is data in the database....
my problem is that i have to execute that function in the pageload so that the page has some initial data...for that i wrote inside the pageload
xyz.InnerHtml=getdata();
now xyz is the id of the div where the data needs to be displayed....which is in turn linked to the a css stylesheet and also i CANNOT write the above statement if the div is not runat="server"
and if i do write runat="server" for the div it loses its stylesheet design......is there any alternative i can do with??where both the things can be attained....
