I've got a website that stores hashed passwords and passwordsalts using the default asp dot net config, it looks like this :
hashed Ps : brnuegZKwBu4cIPY81Si9D5KPh4= , salt : 68QAFhIuNTrvDtmaguF8ow==
Note that these strings are only constituted of ascii caracters.
Now what I want to do, is to allow the users registered to my web site to access another application with their logins (username+password).
I'm using a console application to check if the password is correct:
1-It concats the clear password with the salt => String MyString
2-convert MyString to Hexa using Ascii => MyHexa.
3- It hashes MyHexa using sh1 into a Hexa=> MyHash.
4-It converts MyHash to Ascii.
The probleme is that MyHash has values over 7F (127) and Myhash does not look like the hashed password.
If anywone can get the solution, that would be great!
