Pass value to next form

Hi Sorry if this has been asked before, but I have searched and can't find it.

I have two aspx forms on Page1.aspx and Page2.aspx
I have put a button on the 1st form but it doesn't seem to do anything ?
See below.  I used to do this in frontpage very simply but now I'm on Expression Web it seems very different.

How can I pass the value of each drop down to the next form so it shows up in a text box.
