Hoping someone here can help me with this frustrating problem.
First, some background. I am running Windows 7 Professional, VS2010 SP1 Professional as administrator, SQL Express and IIS 7.5.
What I am trying to do is so simple which makes it all the more frustrating: I am simply creating a new VS2010 project: "ASP.NET MVC3 Web Application" -> Internet Application in my documents\projects folder and have created a site in iis pointing
to the folder using ASP.NET 4.0 pool.
When I run the default site through my browser all looks good. until I go to access the sample app database by logging in.
in which case I get...
An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file C:\Users\Tim\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\Projects\MvcApplication1\MvcApplication1\App_Data\aspnetdb.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it
is located on UNC share. ...
