I've been having a problem for about two weeks now where when the user accesses the main entry page it takes along time to load. If you look at the status bar at the bottom you can see the url bouncing back and forth between login url and main portal page like it's trying to authenticate over and over. Seems like its doing it for every item on the page. Once this happens I've notcied that all items after that problem happens shows a connection of closed in firebug when you look at the item headers.
I've notcied that the problem happens more on IE6 but I'm not quite sure why it's happening. I have used firebug and fiddler to try and track what specifically is causing the problem but it always turns up with something different. I have a hunch that the problem is associated with the CSS. My CSS sheets have been validated againt the W3C site so they are compliant and I'm not seeing any 404 errors for bad urls.
