Managed Pipeline Net Framework version

I have a windows 2008 web server, web edition and IIS7.

If I look at my Application Pools and the Managed Pipeline mode, there is a combobox with .NET Framework version. It says v2.0.50727 when my web application is clearly 3.5

There is no choice of 3.5 in the combobox. I don't use a 2.0 framework on this web server.

What is this and why is 3.5 missing? And is that right? How do I get it there and make it the default?
