I have a page in which I am downloading a dynamically created file. All the business logic is in Data Access Model. The steps for creating the file are as follows :
1. Bring data from sqlserver to dataset.
2. Create a Firebird database file.
3. Insert the data from the dataset into the firebird database file.
4. Zip the file.
5. Download the file using Response.Writefile.
For this process I need to display a progress indicator. When I use the download link button inside the Update panel and use ajax progress indicator, download is not happening. But I need to display a progress indicator when the file is being created.
Please help me to solve this problem.
