The inbuilt UrlAuthorizationModule checks if the logged in user has access to requested url using Authorization element configured in web.config. I have hundereds of URLs in different folder accessed by different roles. So I have to add web.config fine in each folder/subfolder etc. Which doesn?t make sense. Also, in web farm scenario it makes more cumbersome. So I have SQL table which has Columns like URL and Roles. (This is actually SQL SiteMap table). I wanted to write custom URL authorization module that will check if the logged in User has access to requested URL. How do I do that? The following code does NOT work. Because user is NULL at this stage. How to do I implement custom URL authorization.
