I'm writing a website that don't use the ASP.net membership. I've already figured out how to log in and all that, but I want to have on every page to display some information about the user account (Like it's surname, count of elements that the user has in a certain SQL Table...) but I can't figure out how to keep the information of the user and how to get it.
First, how can I know what's the ID (from the account table, each user has its own unique account ID) of the current logged in user.
Second, how can I make my website not have to query the Database to get these informations everytime the user click on a new webpage.
On my website, I plan to have multiple user online at the same time so I don't want it to be too much RAM intensive for every user logged in.
Thank you
