hi HAPPY NEW YEAR to all
i'm using the following code for my chat application but have a couple of problems.
1. If a user enters an empty message, messages are still sent to the database but cannot be displayed.
2. When run once and it works, the next time the application is run, the user name is just repeated and no messages are displayed even though they are sent to the database and the exit chat button fails to run.
3. I tried to come up with a timed refresh function but failed to come up with an appropriate loop in the page load event in Generalchat.aspx.vb
4. Any tips on how i can improve this application would be appreciated.
