Hi,

I have written a caledar site which enables users to create/add an information rich event.
I have had two major issues.
one- SQL linq. if there are a lot of events added to the calendar site , it will cause the calendar page very slow (4 or 5 seconds). For loop in SQL Linq  has got some known issue, I reckon. I replaced the codes with oledb data mothods. OLE db codes completes the for-loop instantly. Fixed now.
two- Ajax popup extender. Same problem. if there are lots of events added to the site, it will cause the page browsed very slowly. I'd like to replace the ajax extender with java, jquery or something similar to one of event handling features in Google calendar. could you anyone give me some idea how to do it? I am not sure it is called 'popup' as well. The popup(?) should disappear if a user click area other than the popup shown. Not hovering either ...
